Check out these brilliant oil paintings! We all worked from the same still life and took our time in mixing appropriate colours. We applied a thin ground, following the ‘fat over lean’ rule and worked hard to capture the light and shadows, including the folds in the table cloths. For many students this was their first time experimenting with oil paints and working on canvas, so a really great start!
